Overview Of Ballroom, Latin, And

Sequence Dance Exams

The Ballroom category includes classic dances such as the waltz, tango, and quickstep, emphasizing grace and poise.

Dancers are assessed on their ability to maintain correct posture, deliver seamless transitions, and execute intricate steps with elegance.

Latin exams focus on rhythmic dances like the cha-cha, samba, and rumba, where energy, flair, and precise footwork are key components. Dancers must convey passion and dynamic movement while maintaining the distinctive style of each Latin dance.

Sequence dance exams, distinct in their choreography, require participants to perform pre-set routines synchronised with a group, showcasing both individual skill and the ability to harmonise with fellow dancers. Aspects such as timing, coordination, and uniformity are scrutinised closely.
